I guess I know what the “downfall” is the chapter title is about now…
And now that financial issues are brought up, we are introduced to a brand new character. (And seeing chapter 4, I guess it’s the witch with the exceptionally shiny forehead? I mean, the author really knows how to make a character stand out, so that‘s a reasonable enough guess. But back then, I didn’t know what Rea-San does. She obviously saw Tama’s big singing image, so I think she would at least think about going to find them. But probably because of personal reason, she didn’t or couldn’t. But if I were to guess, it’s either financial reasons or dignity reasons. Can’t think of any other reasonable excuses for now.)
But still, according to what‘s in this manga before, it’s likely what’s the deal before is the same as now, so I don’t really think her magic changed over time. Tama said she can create gold at will (alchemy), but we never really knew what’s the deal with it or what is her condition.
Was her magic a facade? Is it rendered useless now because of the lack of certain resources? Or is it because she doesn’t want to use her magic now? Why would she choose this one-track-mind path and be construction site worker? And more importantly, why is her image in Tama’s memory so different from now? (also where is her crown in chapter 4)
Whatever it is, in the two scenes of her appearance, she always have a smile on her face, so I guess she is at least happy at the moment
Looking forward to the next chapter! I’m loving this vibe now!
