(The world's longest sigh) Why God. Why me?
"Miracle", that's a really funny way to spell "asspull" Mitsuda, my man. Toshiya replacing Mutsuko because she told him to? Why I see you took my previous comment on him getting bossed around by middle schoolers quite literally.
I like that Furuya just suddenly started giving up hits even though Mitsuda introduced like one gajillion different other ways for Fujimihara to lose (that make this game feel incredibly fucking convoluted) so now he’s just completely fucking worthless as a character lol. He was introduced as this amazing guy who is a baseball genius, but he’s really just a zaako (zaako zaako♡) so his character doesn't make any sense. Like he's clearly not meant to be just be a minor rival if he was then Mitsuda wouldn't have made him the main character for six months, went into his backstory with his injury and childhood friend, and make the game last for what, eight months? Are we seriously going to act like he's literally not based on fucking Ohtani. Is Mitsuda going to gaslight me about that too. I wouldn't put it past him. You just don't make a character based on the greatest player of a generation and then make him what has frankly become a pathetic fucking loser. You just don't. Every two weeks I see Mitsuda's move, I analyze the move, I think about the intention behind the move, and every two weeks I think how we're not even playing the same game. It's like I'm looking at one of the zodiac killer's cyphers when I try to think why Mitsuda does the things he does. I don't fucking get it because it doesn't make any sense. The rival characters in MAJOR work because they were all real threats. Furuya's character doesn't work since he's not a real threat, quite the opposite in fact. Mitsuda has made sure to kneecap him in every imaginable, possible, conceivable way to make him as much of a non-threat as possible. He's on a shitty team, he has an excuse for a catcher, he's under a pitch limit, he's mentally weak, he's a coward, he's seemingly getting tired even though he's under eighty pitches and under a pitch limit, etcetera, etcetera. Damn this guy just can't have shit in this house. I guess he really is like Goro in the sense that Mitsuda loves to bully him. It's like one of those cartoon episodes where the handsome and cool character is revealed to actually be a little bitch at the end for comedic effect. Well I'm not laughing, are you laughing Mitsuda?
In the end I guess Furuya's character does a pretty good job at summarizing the identity crisis that this manga has
