His desperation is showing his true colors, but I guess he loves baseball as well as Goro.

Goro comes off as a bigger a-hole most of the times, honestly. He tends to get fixed on his baseball career and not spare a thought to anything or anybody else. Toshi is desperate in this particular chapter, but he has legitimate problems. For Goro, it's all fun and games. To Toshi - a matter of life or death. Also, the biggest a-holes of all are the adults who pit kids against one another.
