It's actually really cool to see more of Honda's dad at work. By their interaction in the dugout, it seems that Miyoshi and Goro share some parallels with Honda and Shigeno, one player is really tactful and the other is a laidback pitcher. It was also cool to see more proof that Gibson was a great pitcher, and to use that to show that Honda's dad was still a great player after changing roles. It just makes his death a little more tragic. While I want to talk about unnecessary aspects or poorly done plot elements typical of 90's era manga that were present throughout this story, such as the awkward exit of Honda's father among many other aspects, as a whole, this actually is still a good manga and I look forward to reading this everyday.
