wow why is Shigeharu (the Dad) so unlucky?
As a kid, he was almost the ace pitcher but then got injured by a deadball and couldn't even participate in the tournament. He grew up to be a pro baseball player, was doing well with his career and a happy family, but then his wife passed away suddenly, leaving him and their very young kid behind. He then got a hernia injury, he couldn't play as well and went down to second string. He was finally doing better and had high hopes of getting back to first string as a pitcher, but had a bad elbow injury that would require 2 years to fully heal and he would no longer be able to ever pitch as well. He was almost fired, but picked up the courage to switch from pitching and became an amazing batter. Through hard work, managed to get back to first string and even became so proficient his second career was on the rise. Only to get injured by a deadball again, and this time lose his life silently.
How tragic is the author going to make his life be.... and yet to have such an inspiring outlook on life.
