Is it just me or do most Japanese just love to portray the bible and religious people in the most inaccurate ways?Literally twisting the bible,
also was pretty obvious satan sent her
I'm gonna keep reading but yeah. It's not all that surprising since there's literally a whole trope in Japanese roleplay games about churches always being evilIs it just me or do most Japanese just love to portray the bible and religious people in the most inaccurate ways?

I wouldn't say it's completely inaccurate since the history with religion and churches hasn't exactly been the prettiestI'm gonna keep reading but yeah. It's not all that surprising since there's literally a whole trope in Japanese roleplay games about churches always being evil
I think the word you're looking for is organized religion. The catholic church is notorious for being a political tool used by corrupt individuals who wish to use religion wrongly. The religion of Christianity in itself, on the other hand, teaches us to love one another as we love ourselves. It's just frustrating that a lot of Japanese authors portray priests and religious people as being either twisted zealots and or mindless drones when in reality a lot of people who are religious probably only want to help a kid out when they approach one and not turn them into whatever the MC of this manga is.I wouldn't say it's completely inaccurate since the history with religion and churches hasn't exactly been the prettiest
It doesn't really matter if it's "organized religion" or actual religion all that matters is that history with religion and priests has been pretty bad so Japanese authors merely use that as inspiration for their stories.I think the word you're looking for is organized religion.
