The Village Chief Dan and Noel already assumed that she gave up her voice for increased magical power, that such magical pacts exist and that it’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for why she’s mute and has such extraordinary power.
Chapter 4, page 25.

So her not eating, except for milk, eggs, and jams, could be chalked up to part of the magic pact.
Or because she’s a weirdo like that, as demons are known to have…unique, ways of acting and thinking.

Technically she can't, since she can't talk without killing everyone in hearing distance.

Also, while she could write out replies, Japanese is apparently the Ancient Language, so there were probably Reincarnators from Japan way back in the past, but it's likely that only academics and specialists would be able to read it.

But addressing the idea of amnesia/loss of memories, sure, I think that could be a good excuse.
The (wrong) thought process that Noel and others could have would be, "If she gave up her voice for immense magical power, then what kind of power could she have gotten in return for giving up all of her memories".

It's a bit of a cop out, but she could explain away everything as "traded away for UNLIMITED POWER"; her voice, her memories, her ability to eat solid food, and even the fact that she can't touch anything living without killing (absorbing) them.

Probably my favorite thing about this series is that MC actually identifies as a mandragora rather than a human, seeing things from a mandragora's perspective rather than a human one. It's like she's a mandragora that gained the memories of a human, rather than a human that got reincarnated as a mandragora.

...Might sound like the same thing but I swear there's a difference.
