Mm... kind of interesting to see this interpreted by someone from a completely different culture. I'll keep a tab on it.

I wonder... what was the plan if they never ate the the fruit? Just multiply in bliss forever? It's so odd, the more you think about it.

The degree that human choice matters (or even exists) in the face of divine will is something theologians have discussed for millennia. Some would say that everything was predetermined, that the fall of man was always going to happen. Personally, I believe that He was much less subtle in the early days (Pharaoh's could probably attest to that), and that Eve was put in a situation with no reasonable alternative. I mean, she had less understanding of consequences and morality than a toddler, and toddlers put things in their mouth that they shouldn't all the time. It's like putting something bright and shiny where a toddler can try to eat it, with a voice explicitly telling her to do so.
