I can totally see a world where the manga is just these two and not focused on the young lady in the cubicle up to lewd antics. But that's not this manga. I don't hate her, just wish she was doing her own thing.

Thanks for the chapter.

Sigh... Guess it's time to add the Harem tag like every other modern Rom Com :(.

Bravo for making it this far before breaking though, most only make it to Chapter 13 before adding the first girl.
TBF, the gyaru friend showed up a few chapter back, could be a potential one :pacman:

Harem = Multiple love interests for people looking for reading manga. There is no point drawing that line line between 2-3 girls. It's semantics. People need the Tag to know which series will be pure romance and which will throw girl after girl at the MC because reasons I can't fathom.

But why is a man with 2 women not a Harem to you? Just asking because I consider it as such. But to each their own I guess.
That's where you are wrong. It literally needs a minimum of 3 girls for it to have the harem tag.... that's the actual minimum.

2 girls is literally considered a love triangle and is it's own trope.

And in a love triangle, it's usually just a temporary rival or something.

Adding one rival doesn't magically make it a harem.

Especially since this is more of a conflict than a real alternative romance.

In a harem series, the focus is on the romance with the GIRLS.

In love triangles, the focus is actually on the romance itself and isn't about getting a harem.

It's still technically a pure romance and isn't about the fan service or sh*t like that.

Ahh I see where you are coming from but there is one thing I would argue. A love triangle requires there to be jealousy and for the love interests to interact with each other. That completes the Triangle for me, and I have read tons of great love triangles. But when the love interests never interact with anyone but the MC and each chapter becomes "Girl A" focus or "Girl B" focus then I feel it's not a love triangle but a Harem. But I still don't know why you draw the line between 2 and 3 honestly.

Because a love triangle actually gives more focus to the romance than a harem does.

There is either more seriousness to both girl's romance, or it is more temporary and the love triangle doesn't even need to be mentioned (as in after thought).

Harems on the other hand focus more on the girls themselves and the existence of the harem almost always takes over the series...

So it has a complete different feel from harem series....

Like, the love triangle is more close to regular romance than harems and are often meant to accent the regular romance rather than contrast it.

Harems on the other hand use the harem to get in the way of the romance.....

I feel like you are just seeing the multiple love interest thing, but not the intricacies and how it relates to the story and the romance and series as a whole.

Also, unlike harem tropes that take up the series, the love triangle often won't and in many stories, can easily be forgotten.

My main point is Harems inherently remove intricacies that came with love triangles and forces the story to repeat the initial chase over and over again with each girl. I'm not trying to discount love triangles, but seriously name the last good Love Triangle you read that was started after 2020? All the great Love Triangles are from before Covid, before phones took over as the main readership, maybe it's all related to short form media becoming the main thing people watch leading to a lack of intricacies, I don't know, but things have changed.

...... I think you're just weird....

So far, love triangles that I've read had the 2nd girl just be a bit point of conflict and she wasn't much in the way of romance....

Don't remember the name though....

Yui sure is making the most of her screentime. She's leading Toshi around by the nose, too.

Honami has been in this manga from the start, and based on the reactions in this thread, it seems she's always getting her thunder stolen by each new girl who happen to only appear for a few chapters. Shiyu was a hit with readers, and now Yui is too. Just like Shiyu, I see Yui is also too powerful for this manga.

I'm beginning to wonder if the author thought adding these girls with "strong flavors" was actually a good idea, when they seem to easily eclipse the more subtle female lead. Was it intentional? Doesn't help that Honami didn't actually appear in this chapter which is rare.

I get that she is meant to be attractive but I can't focus on anything but her gargantuan forehead

forget tic tac toe you could probably play connect 4 on that
I just realized they westerners actually dislike girl with wide forehead
