Why did the Human alliance army take them prisoners? I mean, I can understand keeping alive elves to sell them to slave traders and commanding officers to gain some info about the Demons army, but why'd they need ordinary gargoyles, orcs and goblins not even being shackled? And then sacrifice some guards to ambush and kill them? What the hell?

This whole story started falling apart the second the "strongest magician" let his army get completely blindsided numerous times by superior forces and allow basically every single one of his subordinates end up dead or captured.

All just to what, reveal that he was part demon the whole time? No shit.

well he kinda lost his powers against the old man with the magic sword and also got betrayed by another commander, but how he acted across the series he would normally be prepared for any act like that

I'm guessing the plan was to kill whoever came to rescue them

By now I'm used to this manga's bad art moments (it even used the infamous "webtoon castle"). But damn, this is not how perspective works:

Earlier in a series with a main character named Ren, there was a mass release. One of the chapters had her sitting at a table across from the owner of a smithy and I still can't get how messed up the proportions were. She was either 3 feet tall and the owner was over 20 or the table was tilted crazy and they were sitting at opposite end of the table doing a forced perspective thing.

Peter Jackson would be proud. Or ashamed.
