He's throwing bloody big spells, probably all preceded by an Ominous Hummmm and other sound effects...
Pretty indiscriminate in destructiveness as well...

For someone who's shown to be a bit of a micromanager who believes in "least effort for maximum gain"....
Yeah... They're pushing him. He even had to duck on one occasion there... And those magicians did manage to get enough of a bead on him to set up an attempt at confinement. Shame for them several tons of wood isn't enough to keep him in, but they did get him. For a moment....

His spells don't vaporise everything, and stuff does come through close enough to take a stab at him.
He may be extremely powerful, but he's still very much human and mortal. One mistake and he's a hashtag...

Also note that the magicians only got a chance because he had to switch from long range to short-range destruction to get rid of the stabby stuff milling around him in melee range.. And by the looks of it is now doing a magic pewpew contest with them directly. And being in the air he makes a nice target for archery units that may occupy his attention as well..

Yeah... he's wiping them by the score, but they're swarming him real good.
