If i remember right, it happened this way in the novel too, remember this is technically a slice of life manga with a overpowered protagonist that sometimes get's caught up in stuff.

i really appreciate they didn't waste 20 chapters in stupid shounen fights with the undead and solved it in a couple vignettes, i'm not reading this manga for dumb fights

To highlight the stretchiness of the pants they gave the abominations and showing off their muscles.

Seriously though, the main player of this section was Final and it’s probably only the appetizer (there’s still the lord the guy running had in mind), and the tournament I believe (?). So it’s probably not very interesting to go in depth here, from writing POV.

ok, I didn't expect any of this. It all came out of nowhere considering the previous chapters... and having read the novel this is even more bizarre

it was nothing close to this in the web novel at least.

Spoiler: novel stuff

so like, in the web novel, the tourney just happens, nell gets into trouble, yuki saves her, then there's like a whole lot of story, and much later the alliance conference happens, where the undead abominations attack, and once again yuki saves everyone (truly our glorious hero). Also the conference happened in the elven lands, since they are technically kinda somewhat neutral (because elves op)
Since I can't read jp, this is all based on the wn, not the ln since the ln translation has only just finished the king saving arc, but it's pretty rare for a ln to so drastically change the story so until the translation reaches this point it's my opinion the manga for some reason smooshed it all together into whatever this chapter is.

Anyway, yuki is so dere dere for lefi.
