From what I take it, it's actually similar (or possibly reference) to the famous fight scene between Yuji Itadori vs Aoi Todo in JJK where when Yuji said he likes tall women with big butt, the whole made-up memories goes into play in Todo head and latter call Yuji his "best friend" and switch side.

But it was presented in different way, so I guess not everyone get it.
