I really hate the fantasy (and isekai by extension) trope that you can get reliable information in a fucking tavern. These are people getting drunk. They're gonna be talking shit and at best give you idle gossip and rumors. Sometimes you may want that, but usually not.

I've read some stories where MCs basically have no other source of information and it beggars belief that the drunkards would actually talk about something relevant every time the MC is in the tavern himself.
