God damn. Only the typical Japanese MC can get PTSD from sitting behind the PC.
It's some insane level of delusion and hypocrisy, to join PMC and cry about killing people after.
Also killing retreating enemies is a logical move. If you don't annihilate them, they will return later to bite your ass.

Exactly. Well, it's a fiction. I doubt that PMC will recruit people to just immediately send them to warfare where combatants lives depend on them. Also, it's difficult to sympathize with locals. I was there a few times, and locals (In places far away from Dushanbe) are full of shit. Especially those who illegally come from the Afghan side.
