I actually prefer those Youtube gamers who make no commentary playthrough videos. I guess it's difficult for them to become celebrities, but I'm more interested in the game than the person playing it. However, there are some exceptions, mainly with highly technical games (simulators, not fps/shooters/action), where I wouldn't really know what's going on without the player explaining it.
