Completely unsurprisingly the author forgot the Demon Eye of Annihilation, which used to be Yang Kai's major method of guarding his soul/knowledge sea actively, while the soul warming lotus was the passive way. It's getting hilarious how the author conveniently keeps forgetting stuff that should solve a lot of problems for Yang Kai, just to create some tension.
