What exactly did he expect? The ink clan was busy in the Ancestral Divine Land, trying to erose the place and turn all of its energy into ink force, exactly like they have been doing everywhere, killing the whole universe. So, why would they stay away just because Yang Kai once told them to scoot? He started cultivating for centuries and expected the Ink clan wouldn't return? He really has below average intelligence.
