It's somewhat ridiculous that Qiu Meng told practically nothing at all to her father. How can the poor man make any decisions when the only solid intel he has got isn't much, yet Qiu Meng refuses to talk, only repeating that Yang Kai is a capable guy and has a reason to be confident. I'd also be quick to think Qiu Meng is just saying all that because of love, debt (that she refuses to talk about), or blind admiration. Although all that being said, if the father has a history of relying on Qiu Meng's insight successfully, he should just stick to it and keep relying on it.
A kind reminder to all... Qiu Meng had all but a few interactions with him.. once to destroy his sect... another whilst trying to follow him to kill him... then another after capture to take a bath in his tub... then another to say good bye... then another on the road to the capital...
I'm not sure where she get's all of her information from... but if we're being honest... it feels odd that she should be this attune to his desires and calculations.
