Nascent planets were being spit out of the universe furnace all the time. The sand he found at the bottom of the river were also worlds. Yang Kai could have snatched a few thousand and planted them somewhere out of reach for the ink clan, for the time being.

So like, is the 3000 worlds a single Ultra World that is made up off 3000 smaller worlds?
Those things spat out from the furnace were individual planets, but the 3000-worlds is made up of 3000 planets and hundreds of domains, each one is like a mini galaxy with about a dozen planets in it, with only way to access other mini-galaxies being portals.
