In the end, the author didn't bother to explain what the heck they were trying to do. It seems pretty strange to allow the ink giant to join the rest of the ink forces in the No Return Pass. It will be all the harder to conquer the place. Not to mention, the ink forces have nothing better to do in the ink battlefield, so wouldn't they send people to destroy all the humans at the Great Restiction? It's their most holy place, even if not by choice, so it seems strange they would tolerat humans there if they don't have to. Yang Kai doesn't seem to be worried, though.
If the ink clan destroy the human army there are managed to get out 20 ink royal lords, things would become more troublesome for humans. They might get out even more. Perhaps even a third ink giant.
