An idiot Yang grand elder. It's a family that sends its sons out there incognito and with no connections or backing, to survive the best they can on their own. They are supposed to gather power, both internal and external, to use in a war against their own brothers. And this fool of a grand elder thinks such methods bring up jolly, obedient fellows. He doesn't even need to know Yang Kai personally to realise his methods would have the opposite effect on Yang youngsters. Too bad for him, Yang Kai never forgets or forgives, unless it suits his purposes.
The intelligence throughout this Manhua hasn't changed one bit... dudes probably almost a hundred years old... yet he acts like a spoilt brat. I really hope we'll meet more intriguing and intellectual personalities in the future. People who are actually cunning and sly.
