These big fights are always insurmountable problems for xianxia authors. Basically all the people involved are already really strong or even powerhouses, but in the end, the authors really don't want to spend time to make nameless cultivators to look like anything. The artist here doesn't even bother to give them individual looks, they are just copy-pasta clones. Their attacks are all the same and don't look at all like the attacks of masters. They are hardly given any weapons or other artifacts. It's just punches, kicks, or generic energy attacks. In reality every single one should have all kinds of tricks and aces up their sleeves, just like that blood demon puppet, even if not as powerful. But they have nothing. They just fight like mooks and get nameless graves.

This is a problem in every single xianxia I've ever read. It's actually not a problem is small fights with named enemies. They all look different and have schemes and powers. But big battles are never any good.
