@Damn_Dude No, he entered it, just that it was probably unstable or something and it didn't transport him to the upper realms, but just some random place in the lower realm, otherwise there was no way for him to escape the collapsing of the cavern there. Just wondering if the others were also transported to random places in the lower realm or they went to the upper realm? Bet the women went to the upper realm as that is usually the cliché in xianxia novels that the MC has to chase his women in upper realms far out of reach.

It's a very common trope, and for good reason. The authors all struggle with the MC levelling up too fast, and the only solution they can think of, is making the women suddenly ascend or get random great boosts. Take ATG as an example. The first wife suddenly promotes a few major realms cos he gifts her some medicine. Then she promotes 10 major realms because of some other event, where she realises she's been from that upper realm all along or something.
