One thing that's really off with this is how even something that would be considered basic like tai chi is not recognized in this current Murim. I guess in this world the empire didn't make an agreement with the Murim and decided to pretty much ban a bunch of martial arts. Because every time he shows something that would be considered basic in other Murim stories and even the stories he read in his previous life the response is always shock and awe.
