It's based on rakugo "manju kowai" (steambun scary)

the comic is pretty much the plot beat for beat
character say they're 'scared' of manju
the group try to scare them by buying a bunch and put them in the character's room
character wake up, happily eat them and the others realized they got played

even the extra 'request' at the end is also in the rakugo more or less
