Hear me out. If i was a king the criminal mark would look completly different. Why give menancing/cool mark when you simply can print PP on cheeks. Its more like punishment for me ;D
"PP"? Yeah, a limp dick tattoo on each cheek would be the opposite of menacing/cool alright...

Ok, but why? You know he's a weak moron who would get rolled by any member of his old party, right?

But he's the perfect Japanese stereotype. It's from that Conformance Culture where the nail that sticks out is pounded down. You're expected to:
  • Deny any compliment or at least put your hand behind your head, look away, and laugh nervously (How often have you seen "You've been very helpful." responded to with "No! I didn't do anything!"?) ,
  • Apologize for everything even when it wasn't your fault,
  • Say that any success is due to someone else (who did 5% of the work), and
  • Turn any apology around to blame yourself ("No! I'M the one sorry for denting your car when you ran the red light! It's MY FAULT because I should have been paying attention! When I get out of the hospital I'll pay for your auto body work!")
"It's from that Conformance Culture where the nail that sticks out is pounded down."

I've read that refers to socialism, too, only the example I read involved wheat.

Btw, I think I'm cooking up something. I just noticed that ishua's personality kinda follows the seven heavenly virtue and I think his name ishua is referencing the Hebrew word yeshua which is Jesus' name in Hebrew. Does it mean that ishua is a bible reference?
I'm reminded of the scene from The Last Crusade, "But in Hebrew, the letter J is spelled with an I"

Demon King is stupid, why add a failure to your ranks? I mean the hero is talented in bringing destruction but he is as bright as a rock...
yeah, I mean you're facing a reformed party that has a proven hero that's already beaten the shit out of one of your four generals in a duo comp. So now you have a party with two frontline fighters, a harmacist healer/buffer, and two dedicated magic attackers one of which is aforementioned hero. And then you add to that an infinite MP battery who's also able to tune spell casts during their invocation and has unprecedented control and manipulation of mana allowing the entire party to have zero limits on the use and effect of their skills and abilities.

And the answer to that is lure in an imbecile who is incapable of self-reflection, has a growth rate of zero, and is a complete one-trick pony in combat who has also lost the means to employ said one-trick for any extended conflict. Uh, yeah.
You're both looking at this the wrong way.

Allan is a failure at being a hero; trying to be a hero causes bad things instead right?
So all the Demon King has to do, is give Allan ideas of doing more "heroics". Allan will fail and cause trouble or worsen an already bad situation. And given how simple minded, self-centered and selfish Allan is, it won't be that hard to plant the ideas or mislead him.

Whether or not the author writes the Demon King to be smart enough to realize that is different story though.

It's pretty funny how the criminal mark looks like a tattoo criminals would willingly give themselves. Seems like it should be some kind of brand, not just cool demon-like marks.

I gotta admit, I was getting kinda scared thinking the MC was gonna save Alan. So, even with all that "I'm such a super nice MC" vibe, I was glad he didn’t lift a finger to help Alan and even made sure to bring Alan’s issue straight to the king. Totally different from last season’s anime, "The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest."
Finally, thanks for the translation!!

Yes... That's the collectivist and conformist aspect of Socialism.

The individual is always subject to the "needs of the many" ( as determined by the Apparatchiks with access to the Zil Lanes...).
One of the many reasons Socialism is stupid, if not inherently evil.

Thanks for the chapter and friendly reminder from someone else who was addicted a Gacha game. Roll smart! I had a lot of disposable income when I was playing FGO and easily dumped $80-100 per paycheck into the game. I don't even play anymore so even while I enjoyed my time playing the game, it was not worth the close to $3,000 I spent over the two years I played the game.

It's okay to splurge a bit on a banner here or there, but don't overspend on something that isn't even tangible! Learn from my mistakes, play smart!

Edit: I never put myself into financial issues with my spending! I've read horror stories of people who had to sell their cars or possessions because they took loans to gamble on banners. It's really sad

That demon king castle looks like carved-up cave instead of proper wall and ceiling despite the shillouette looks like proper building. Also, the pedestal below the throne is literally just soil stack on top of each other. Is it perhaps the demon king is poor?
