she should have said, "I won't become your wife" not "I can't"
Si vis pacem, para bellumas much as we all want to see some murder, i think that's a smart policy. Clearly their country is more advanced and powerful than anywhere else in the world so the promise/doctrine ensures that they won't be seen as a serious threat, while also ensuring that nobody will ever try to hit them first. a decent sword and shield
He would be guided to witness sparing match Ain vs General. It would be on much bigger scale than he or his father could probably achieve.
I wish I knew, the JP release of volume 9 happened back in mid 2021, I think it was June. There were no further LN releases after that. From what I could research around, Kadokawa was the publisher for the JP side. I looked up on Novel Updates and saw author had a second novel under them. My guess is that the author just wanted to focus on their new work that started in the same year.Care to expand on that? Any particular reason they won't write anymore, at odds with the publisher/editor/fans, writer's block, something else?
I mean, where would be the fun in that?I'm kinda hoping they go to war not because of the first prince but rather the third prince going crazy trying to get fmc back.
I went to check if the webnovel was still around, and it is(on kakuyomu), seems main story is concluded but there's still new parts coming, last update was October this year.I wish I knew, the JP release of volume 9 happened back in mid 2021, I think it was June. YupI had forgotten about the "No Pre-Emptive Strikes" rule that the founding king of Ishtalica had made a fundamental part of the country's rules and traditions.
So because of that, even though the populace and the current King himself want to wage a war of hate and vengeance against Hyme, they can't because it would go against the very foundation of their national identity, and they have to give Hyme the opportunity to apologize.
Yeah I mean do you remember when the nobles first heard about what happened to their second princess and Ain? If that's how the nobles reacted, how much more for the commoners who Ain saved and who have benefited from the actions of his mum?So it's not that Ain needs to build up moral outrage and a buy-in from the populace to go to war against Hyme; the country already wants to crush the yapping chihuahua that is Hyme. It's that Ishtalica needs the legally and morally acceptable casus belli to act on their resentment.
He really doesnt need to get revenge on them, he already knows how powerful they are, he can easily crush them by himself even if every single abled bodied person in Hyme were to attack him in a warAnd from how Ain reacted to the Chancellor and his grandfather's maneuvering, it seems like he doesn't care about getting revenge on Hyme.
Well there's that andI'm guessing his thought process is "why should I waste time waging a military campaign against these assholes when I've got waifus to have slice-of-life dates with, and my bureaucracy can handle crushing them economically and through international reputation without my interference".
Actually they tricked the Hyme Royal Family into apologizing, the citizens didn't even care about going to war with Hyme. The survey as stated was whether Ain should ascend to the throne immediately. They left that detail off of the results documents and carefully worded themselves so the Hyme King would jump to the conclusion that Ishtalica was ready for Total War.I had forgotten about the "No Pre-Emptive Strikes" rule that the founding king of Ishtalica had made a fundamental part of the country's rules and traditions.

Thanks for the clarification. I had missed that.Actually they tricked the Hyme Royal Family into apologizing, the citizens didn't even care about going to war with Hyme. The survey as stated was whether Ain should ascend to the throne immediately.
does that mean the translation is behind and the manga is currently on chapter 63 rn or am i not understanding u?don't worry, 61 makes up for it and future chapters too
would honestly be very interesting what they do after 62 and 63
Infinite stratos author was something else entirely, not a hiatus but not a drop either, he open yt channel btw.I wish I knew, the JP release of volume 9 happened back in mid 2021, I think it was June. This isn't the first time this has happened to me where an LN author just stops writing for a series. One of the previous times for me was the Infinite Stratos LN. But that author left us hanging with nothing resolved, just cliffhanger. Then author just like disappeared or something.
