Is it just me or is the writing kinda bad?

I get that you want to establish the character and make them animated but they doing way too much.

They Really overreact to everything to the point it get annoying
Especially the main character i mean i get she want friends but come on.

And the main conspt is kinda dumb and cringey.

But i do really like the art and character designs and i appreciate the effort on the art.
But the writing isn't for me i guess

I liked the previous two stories characters, art and story&setting, but this time the story&setting part just doesn't click for me.
Forced fake names, forced roles, somehow that makes the whole premise feel, well, I don't know, slimy?

Gonna join to fellow commentators, don't know how to feel about this.
First chapter seemed rather interesting, and it immediately went downhill in second.

So this is a manga about MC that doesn't know how to talk, and about people around her that hyperbolize anything she does to a point that MC can't talk herself out of, which causes a lot of dumb and cringy misunderstandings
Yeah, I don't think I want to read another one of these, but I'll try 2 - 3 more chapters, maybe I'm wrong and this manga won't consist of 99% cringe... :nyoron:

It's kind of an interesting premise, but damn, I'm tired of MCs that just don't know how to interact as a human being, so they're just hella awkward for the most part of the manga

This roles system is so annoying and this particular chapter force it even further. I hope the next chapter doesn't force it, so the MC can get genuine friends.

Ngl but the lore really makes me feel uncomfortable. Not in a bad way, mind you, but in a "something isn't right..." kinda way.

Everyone is an orphan, and everyone is trained to fit a specific role, enough so to give up on their old names. Sounds like something from a horror manga.

Tbh this. Everything about the setup reeks of deeplore, and the mangaka is known to suddenly use drop-dead serious beats even on fluffy atmosphere, so I'm at least looking forward to see more of that.

We all know the premise is pretty dumb, as we can see from this chapter everyone assumes the worst from Hanako cause her role is to be the villainess, since they think it's all part of her plan.

Ok, so hear me out, if the story will be like that with everything she does, isn't this effectively lesbian version of Eminence in Shadows?

Maybe we should read this manga with the same mentality as one would read Eminence in Shadows or Let This Grieving Soul Retire!, we're not supposed to take it seriously.

Until the end when we find out all the girls are literally being groomed into their roles and Hanako is put in charge of a evil organization :thonk:

Maybe I've been reading too many Villainess ideal types but Hanako isn't being a villainess? So maybe there's a better word to translate the connotations the other girls have of her? Because to me immediately "confessing" to three women at once isn't really villainous and she hasn't even picked a commoner to pick on but everyone else think she fits the role to a T.
