"The school is not trying to bully you" says the woman who works for said school and therefore is not an unbiased source. The school, attended only by  orphans, gave Nanase the seemingly impossible task of sharing a meal with family...

The woman is also an orphan herself and attended the school as a kid and still is operating under the same role system as an adult. So she has personal experience at their age and for whatever reason chose to stay within the confines of the school and role while others left. So she’s biased, but not without experience.
