My prediction is it will be a tie because this isnt about removing Ren from the series, she is way too powerful for that and she winning creates its own problems.
I suspect this will go down to another duel, the fact the author just gave Ren another ability but didnt show it means its something he wants to keep hidden for now, if Ren wins its not going to be relevant for quite a while and if she loses, its the same thing as it wont come into play until she have to fight once more and that will also be for quite a while.
I dont even get the replies here, did you people seriously thought this would be smooth sailing for Kyouka? Yes, Ren is overconfident but she have all the reason to be, she always been shown as overpowering in combat and questioning about her ability to lead is ... was she ever shown as incompetent? All this "hate" seems to flow from the fact we know what the Gods of Thunder are planning because the author shown us and somehow Ren should know it because? If the author didnt shown us we would be asking what the Gods of Thunder were planning but then again, we seen far too much of their perspective to not be tainted by that knowledge.
Ren is a necessary character because this isnt My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic ... this is what our current generation thinks? that a hero is one because the author the author says so, Kyouka needs obsocles to overcome and not just win every time because she is the heroine, this is the type of mentality that lead us to the Modern Audience and I am seeing how the studios with focus groups and writers that are told this is what they want just produce the same drivel and after YOU people have ruined Comics you now turn your attention on something else, Manga and Graphic Novels just to put them in the same place Comics are today ... thank God you have no power over Japanese authors or good writers because it seems you never grown past books aimed at tweens ...
