this actually seems fairly realistic representation of witch life within the premise that magic on modern earth is real
most forms of magic are only super convenient due to a lack of modern tech in the same world
seriously, look at all the series that have magic in them, it pretty much all fits in four mutually exclusively lists:
1 worlds of swords and magic, a medieval setting, where magic is the basis of everything, magic >>>>>>>>> tech
2 magical earth history, also medieval setting, magic is usually hunted but modern tech don't exist, tech sucks but magic = horrible life
3 modern/futurescape with magic, magic may be convenient to a degree, but mostly just useless since tech does the same thing without the costs of magic, magic < tech
4 modern/futurescape where magic replaced electricity but it's magitech and not much personal magics, *most* magic =< tech
