I usually give manga, at least 5 chapters before I drop it. But I think I'll stop here. She's cute(appearance only) and the art is nice. But if I'm reading a romance manga and I want the mc to date someone other than the FL... She's just mostly unlikable. I grew up with someone like her. The freak out and lying to all of our friends when I started dating a girl who was nice and honest to me was insane. Re-experiencing that doesn't sound fun. She she definitely doesn't deserve him. First impressions are important. Her's was terrible.

My brain can't get past the compulsive lying to actually start to like this series. She is the type of character I can't stand. I'll put this in my on hold list, and maybe try again after 8 or so chapters are out.

“He didn’t have to take it that far” ….coming from the guy that had believed the teacher was calling him a genius. So YES! He did!

This is yet another Takagi-san/Nagatoro-san, I kinda like some of their interactions, but the other times they are too annoying.

His brain is under so much pressure, why doesn't it evolve?? He should've developed SOME counter argument by now.
I get what the author is doing though, the premises set up an endlessly teasing cute older girl and a guy that's duped every time. The premise of lying seems to be triggering people though

Yeah, all of this is her own doing. This relationship is doomed.

It's almost like he... can't. :haa:

Every part of his characterization so far puts him juuust on the far side of the "it's real uncool to make fun of this person for their intelligence" line, and it's making this a really uncomfortable read for me.

Cutely lying to a literal child who can't hope to understand, having it turned around on you, and self-destructing is literally the gimmick of early The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious and I love that to bits.
