Love how ominous and unsettling this chapter felt the whole way through, even with it being so light and soft and nurturing on Senpai's part. The juxtaposition with Mayu's life before .......that, to what she's experiencing now, sets a great tone for everything still lurking beneath the surface of all this warmth and maternal care.
Clearly, lots more is still to come, what with the investigation into the old home and the making sense of what transpired there.

But as long as Mayu plays by Mom's Rules, I suspect she'll come to enjoy life, for once.

Mayu is playing by the rules now, but if there's one thing we know about teenagers it's that they go against their parents in some way eventually.
I'm not sure her new mum will react to that in an entirely healthy way.

Mayu is truly living in a hostile world from her vision, but what I’m most interested in is Mayu’s own obsession with a mother figure, since we see this chapter with the obsession mostly from senpai’s side.

Still happy that senpai’s treating her really well, perhaps she may heal (for now) under her care. Also I love how the senpai looks as if everything is under control perfectly.

Also, what will her original classmate friend at school think of this? I wonder…
