He did not find a random flower crown on the ground. On the last panel of page 12 you can see the flower patch.

On the first panel of page 13 you see and hear (look at the sound word しゃばばばばば) him making repeated movements to assemble the flower crown.

OK, sure, fine.

Still doesn't explain a patch of flowers inside a village that means pledging an eternal servant to someone.

It's a patch of flowers... Flowers don't always have to be planted by someone. They could be wild.
Unless there is a ceremonial or cultural reason for a flower that mean "I want to be your eternal servant", people wouldn't want it anywhere near where they lived.

Almost any common and somewhat common flower has a meaning ranging from love to hate, sometimes even both. Most people don’t care about the meanings. And if they do care, the meanings are only relevant when you gift or receive a flower. A wild flower patch is just a flower patch and has no meaning.

Yeah I call bullshit. Love, devotion, hells even a flower that means "I want to spend the rest of my life with you" or "you are my mortal enemy" would be fine. But for an object with the meaning "I will be your indentured servant for life" is not something you wana see a random child unknowingly handing to anyone just because they innocently thought it was pretty.

Sure these types of things don't always form binding contracts. But dud just handed a flower crown to a demon and it seems to have done just that.
