hello, medalheads!!

after a month of hiatus, medalist is kicking once again, this time explosively with two chapters at once! thank you for your patience! i would like to thank an anonymous little bug and hamburg matcha parfait for their redrawings for these chapters, as well as machi mizuha's biggest fan for their help proofreading. very appreciated from us! the translator took a while because they were busy watching joseph anderson play through umineko

as always, please consider buying the official translations, whether it be physical or digital!! it helps to show our support for the manga in a big way. don't forget the anime is still airing!

a minor translation note: in the recent release of volume 12, tsurumaikada-sensei gave the canonical spelling of starfox's head coach, which is "Reilly Foxx". because of this, we will be using that spelling from now on.

enjoy the chapter, and happy skating!!

Oh my god, when she fell, I also went "!!!" just like the audience. It's so amazing how the manga can show the tension to the reader.

Side note. I am so proud of Yoh for knowing so many things about skating now. If her mom were still alive, they would talk so much about skating. 😢

Ahhh i know that feeling

When you supposed to be best of your version, but at the end

You just underperformed
You just cant do anything
You just cant win

Every might you may be...

You just lost.

Qualified round is the hardest than any round, and final round just the begining of everything.

Shouldn't you, as a fan-translator competing with official translations, encourage people to buy the raw manga instead of the official translations? Plus, that way a greater portion of the money goes to support the manga.

Nah. Most people will buy the english translations. And the one buying raws need no push. Not to mention, buying raws is harder and costlier. Let people buy what they want.

My Babygirl you are crying, i am crying too 😭.
Did someone hurt the author during the break or something. Coming back and then “here is some realistic competition pain readers!” :meguuusad:
I heard some people thought the animation when Hikaru doing Ice Skating, its copying 2010s movement, music, and dress of an actual olympic figure skate...

Usually, I appreciate realistic depictions of events going wrong in sports anime. Sometimes you just can't perform well on the day. And it's good that in a sense that she didn't win here, because you don't want to caveat that the "reason" she won is because Iruka and Hikaru made mistakes first. She wants to fight at their level and beat them at their best.

...But, my god, this one was just pain.
