I think Mia's logic is that a real relationship between them would put Stella in danger. So this "arrangement" allows them to be "together" in the sense that Mia can watch over and protect Stella without putting her in any danger by association.

I think the author was just trying to allude that Mia might kill Stella with the final potion. You know, the usual "if I can't have you, I'd rather no one else can" trope. That kind of twisted "being eternal" logic like KitaKawa. The fact that she used memory-erasing potion on Stella instead is supposed to be some kind of twist to that, I think, that Mia changed her "together forever" plan.

The stalking is just Mia being extra.

Amazing story. I'm not sure I can find the words to explain how satisfying this was to read. This with the other translated story so far, Volume 1 chapter 2, the name of the anthology is so good. This is a merry bad end. I'm going to rant more in that chapter post.

yeah, mia was looking at the "death" potion as she was thinking that (the amnesia potion bottle is shorter and more decorated and doesn't have a stem)
