The emperor is not an insect. That insect, or specifically a soul soldier, was a gift from Angel Shiri (
) to the Emperor's ancestor, Tuman. (You can see her in the side series.) The purpose of that insect is that it records the emperor's ancestors' experiences throughout the generations, from which the emperor learns. It also contains other treasures. In fact, the emperor can be said to be a soul tier.
