Prince is lucky bro had a cruise liner and not the ability to drum up something like the Iowa or Yamato, or even the smallest of modern surface combatant ships.

(See also: R2D2 the angry CIWS has decided your small boat was a threat and engages you.)

I get the girls from the kingdom are upset when he finds the girls from the Empire attractive, since they're loyal to the kingdom. But the MC has no allegiance to the kingdom, he's just doing a favor for the girls and so far he has yet to "benefit" anything from them.

Now, don't misconstrue this thinking they should give them their bodies, but aside from looking pretty what have they given to the MC that benefits him?

It was many times mentioned in the comments God restricted "No Combat Military class Vessels"!!!
doesn't need one anyway, comfort is king and i'm sure the author would introduce those island-class-you-can-live-here-for-an-entire-year type ships(they exist)

His slime? Remember they found it and gave it to him.
They also have a working relationship with him that has earned him a ton of money in the past.
Then there's the personal aspect of them being friends with him. While not a "benefit" per say, he does seem to enjoy being around them outside of the fact that they are a group of pretty faces. There's been all sorts of small adventures/stories so far of them interacting in a friendly way.
In return, MC helped them get their own Slime, plus even gave the Dragon materials which he helped them get (and is even helping keeping their share hidden away as they didn't want others to know about it).

Not to forget, he even jumped in to help their families and city during War, which doesn't benefit MC anyway (i mean, we can see how much trouble he had been under because of that, prime example being the current Prince issue).

As a friend, i would say so far MC has done far more than what they had done for him, even if it's just being friendly company or being his guards.

So, i would say that, they don't really have any right to be angry at MC for favorably looking at the Empire as they did provide more attractive option than the Kingdom so far.

They're supposed to be his friends, you know... The moment he starts doing such arithmetic, it would be obvious that he does not see them as friends.
It is always said that, if you want to be good friends for life with someone, don't own them anything or let them own something to you.
Aka., always be on equal level, and only then you can be good friends.

Because those kind-off situations can even bring cracks in familial relationship, so what's there to friendly ones.

This principle applies to money or goods that can simply be returned, just as they were borrowed. In other words, things to which there is no doubt as to the value they represent. Yeah, you should absolutely not be indebted on these sorts of things, if you can help it. It's a different story with lending a hand to a friend when he/she needs it - these kinds of favours are supposed to be exchanged as the situation permits and trying to be "square" on it is a neverending hassle for both sides, which changes the relationship to some sort of haphazard business partnership. In such matters, calculating who is owed how much is just the wrong attitude to have. Of course, no one would want a "friend" who only takes and never does anything for the other side, even when he/she can, but this is an extreme, which is easily addressed. As long as one feels that his help is appreciated and would be reciprocated if needed, then things are fine.

It worries me that there was no credit page...

But more importantly, I want to thank Zeek for saving this series.
Thank you very much, Zeek.
I hope you continue working on this and other series and know that I truly appreaciate your effort.

Well, that was entertaining. But yeah, that last thought of his is correct: after this he has to watch his back.

I mean they're kinda "close" friends (in a really good friend of the family kinda way) and it's not like he just moved the boat and let the empire invade i mean he was still shielding them, he just "blockaded" the city after the little shit started acting like MC was one of his subordinates when at worst he's essentially a mercenary (Pro tip if you people ever find yourselves warlords don't piss your mercenaries and don't lie or "forget" to pay them).
Historically, mercenaries weren't nearly as influential as you seem to think. They were companies of at most a couple hundret men and their employers had armies in at least the thousands. If said employer decided to stiff them, there was nothing they could do. The only thing that kept that from being a regular thing is that said mercenaries were useful so it wasn't worth getting a bad reputation and having them be averse to working for you again in the near future.
