In high school, I'd fall asleep all the time in English class after reading my section out loud or calculating that my turn wouldn't come up because there wasn't enough time. A classmate friend fell asleep one day in class so the teacher reprimanded them. The friend complained that I was getting special treatment (I stared at him with the "for real, dude?" expression). I thought that I was about to be forced to stay awake from then on, but the teacher replied that I was getting A's, but the classmate was getting F's. That's why I could sleep and he couldn't. The teacher got that guy so good.
