This story sometimes pops up in the back of my head. Even though the timeline, character designs, and the plot confuse the shit out of me - I can't stop liking this one.

This one is insanely underrated. Like, small town yuri heartache spanning multiple generations except supernatural curses presented in a way that deliberately muddles chronology because the central figure is immortal? Disjointed, nobody can be trusted, vision itself is unreliable, a cover-up everyone is in on - chef kiss.

and all of the eerie moments! Like when they try to take the blind cat to a vet out of town. Everything beginning with the loud thump and the bus shuddering to a halt - I feel like that chapter is a decent representation of the work as a whole, like a taste-tester.

According to their list, the original scanlator didn't drop this. Why snipe a perfectly good ongoing translation with MTL slop? 3 months is too long for your addled brain? Did you even contact them to ask if they had dropped it? From Vietnamese, really?

I wish people would learn a bit about scanlation and etiquette before posting garbage.

3 months is basically the standard period to wait before jumping on something

I like rehashed scans work, but if they’ve moved on to other things, it’s fair game

do you really need to resort to this kind of tone to say this? if you're recognizing that i'm someone who doesn't know about scanlation etiquette, is it really that hard to explain this cordially? it's also a little silly to me to assume, correctly of course, considering i made sure to make it known myself, that i don't know anything about such things but then get mad at me for not checking some list or contacting the og scanlator.

if i've hurt feelings or disrespected the og translator by doing this, i'm genuinely sorry, and i won't have time to do the next chapter for a little while anyway, so i will try to contact them and ask whether i should continue or delete this chapter and let everyone, myself included, for a proper scanlation. it's not like i prefer my shoddy work or think it's any good, of course i'd love to read the last volume from someone who knows their stuff too! just got too eager to help and didn't think to check in with anyone or even know how to.

anyway, thanks for the nice comments, and those calling it garbage etc, believe me, i'm aware. i understand the frustration too, but there's no need to get like... this over it.
