@relic626 Gender Bender and crossdressing aren't the same thing. Gender Bender is taking a character and swapping their gender, not just having them dress up.

He's not fighting gender roles or doing it because he likes to, he's wearing a dress because he looks androgynous enough that others will think he's a girl and, most importantly, his aunt told him to do so in order to get closer to the girl. If it was his friend who couldn't be mistaken for a girl but regularly wore dresses and skirts, then you'd have your argument.

It's not the first time he had to do it, cross dressing falls under gender bender and especially since he has ulterior motives solidifies the role.
