This fucking mangaAm I... a buck?
ch.1 page 10-11Eh? Who is this? What did I miss?
was a flashback to them playing together so childhood friend (tho other than being told, and being under supervision i would've expected them to have a collar or so, since the mc's parents were aware rather than kuroa being raised as a normal child otherwise)Eh? Who is this? What did I miss?
interesting how it's 'kuroa', def more fitting since 'Croix' sounded weirdly french/fancy lolch.1 page 10-11
well prolly the perversion of having a baby pet the same way ppl have designer teacup dogs, or even "parents who can't have kids" or so, but i imagine there are ppl who would want babies that desperately versus them just being raised in captivity to be experimented onHoly hell that as a bombshell of a chapter and I am 100% sure now that their isn't much substance to this manga in terms of philosophy or psychology; if their is its very surface level like a high school student trying to be edgy in English class.
I'm surprised they would even allow "livestock" to breed in the first place.
Unless an entire family was tuned into "livestock" overnight along with their child.
My guess is that they must have been adored by a wealthy and powerful family to be able to meet with the MC.
Thanks everyone over at Japanese Unloved Mangas (JUM) for the translation
Well the way I think of it, is that "livestock" probably don't have breeding rights, if they are less than human then why would you want more of them. Especially when you can just take from the existing population instead of spending the money to raise one.interesting how it's 'kuroa', def more fitting since 'Croix' sounded weirdly french/fancy lol

Kuroa did ask if MC would have sex so maybe it's a seduction/temptation thing if not a 'reward' to motivate him more (versus punishing him for his escape attempt)
I suppose there might be some ppl getting a kick outta buying a 'pet' and impregnating them versus just 'sterilizing' all the female sex slaves before selling them off (since i assume they'd check for stds too) , but i mean 'livestock' do get bred irl too so i wouldn't be surprised if some babies are born just to be like organ donors/stem cell research and all thatWell the way I think of it, is that "livestock" probably don't have breeding rights, if they are less than human then why would you want more of them. Thats a good theory, they might be sent by his "friend"
God it just gets darker and darker the me we hypothesise. God knows that the author probably hasn’t put this much into it.I suppose there might be some ppl getting a kick outta buying a 'pet' and impregnating them versus just 'sterilizing' all the female sex slaves before selling them off (since i assume they'd check for stds too) , but i mean 'livestock' do get bred irl too so i wouldn't be surprised if some babies are born just to be like organ donors/stem cell research and all that
Dunno if the concepts of orphans exist here, or if a couple would be 'punished' for getting pregnant and not wanting to keep a kid
Probably with discontent, at the same time they probably also turn a blind eye towards it much like we do with the cheep labour of China.Holy fuck this manga is balls to the wall crazy.
I wonder how other countries see that.
lol if this was a huger scale like a published novel or long running live action series, it could get into the political consequences of how other countries react or if there are some 'wars' but i imagine japan would cut itself off from other ppl, if not just only allow in the 'rich' travelers/tourists who wanna buy a 'pet'Holy fuck this manga is balls to the wall crazy.

Re-read the first chapter, and MC's mom mentions "if you were a livestock's child, I could understand (if you didn't get human rights)", so...I guess that could imply (if the author remembers it), that someone born as a livestock's child would also lead a 'normal' life, go to school, etc and get 'human rights' since you get the 'results letter' at 17, but i imagine other than an average looking boy versus a cute baby girl that most babies would be bought to be a pet /adopted by sterile couplesGod it just gets darker and darker the me we hypothesise.
