A Hamburg steak is what we call a Salisbury steak in the English-speaking world, so not exactly a hamburger patty despite the name. Also, Japanese restaurant-style Hamburg steak sometimes contains more meat than an actual steak by weight. It can also contain a mix of meats and spices built in.
