I decided to skim through the earlier chapters, and yup, the tone of the series has completely changed… which sucks, because although I do like these new chapters, the characters are just total flanderizations of what they used to be.

Hajime, for instance, is a totally different character at this point. He used to say unhinged stuff, but he really wouldn’t act on it. Also, the way he used to say it was with a very deadpan, almost gloomy expression. Now, when he says unhinged stuff, he says it with total confidence and an almost evil grin

And the humor, it used to rely almost entirely on dialogue with minimal slapstick, it was almost like two friends doing constant bits with each other.

Man, I’ll keep reading, but it just isn’t what it used to be
