You gotta read these two words together, not separate. Wonderfully generic, meaning - bland, basic, lacking in both art and story, without any depth and with boring characters.

For example - Star Wars episode 4 has a generic plot, yet it also has great characters and world building. In comparison, this onmyoji manga is so bland that nothing stands out.
