This fight reminds me the final arc of Tar-chan to some extent. The monster is pretty similar and I'm also surprised at how this manga, despite being apparently axed, still managed to tell his "full story". Ok that there's still like 30 pages to wrap it up but yet I couldn't see this becoming a longer series than it is as well.
