makes you wonder if Zeon's cloning project dates as far back as cloning M'Quve himself.

Edit: I just realized that Shin's fleet escorted Zenna and Mineva not to Axis immediately but to Ao Bao Qu first since they departed from the Moon, so that's the nearest stronghold before going to Axis and getting accompanied by Char and other surviving ships.

Edit(2): I checked the Shin manga again, Ao Bao Qu has already fallen by the time it ended, so there's no way they'll go there like what I said.
