How did you get that from the first chapter? Thanks for the chapter, wonder how this goes, seems to be some sorta time travel atleast
Muv luv alternative is your answer. If you dont know what that is. Why are you here? You got homework todo young padawan. How did you get that from the first chapter?
The 4 years before thing. I assume something is gonna happen for them to change the outcome, either time travel or a vision maybe. Who knowsHow did you get that from the first chapter?
That's a bit of a stretch. The end scene is him flashing back in time to when he actually had an interaction with her. It's all in the prologue novella, which is likely resulting in the disconnect you're having here. It details what was going on four years prior and sets up how they all know one another. The 4 years before thing. All of this is built up in the prologue novella that I translated and released last month. There is no time travel, so people need to drop that logic real quick. As for whether this is planned to be a long story or not, given Kamoshida's interview, it's likely to be lengthy. He fleshed out an entirely new universe for this project, so it's not going to be something simple. He already jokes about how long the plot summaries are for each chapter.A lot like Muv Luv alternative. now chapter 2 will decide which direction they will use, a time travel back to prevent the disaster or just telling the story about what happen in the past and relationship development between MC and heroine
but I think it'd be the latter because Gundam Eight don't seem to be planned to be a long story one and in this chapter it already hint that heroine already bear MC child so you can expect this to be like Muv Luv + Fafner in term of tone and story focus on relation between characters while they have to fight to survive
To be fair about people thinking that she was pregnant, there was a panel the was zoomed in where the his hand and hers were on top of her stomach and the panel prior also gave that area a small glow effect. She’s probably not pregnant but what they have shown so far is not helping to dispel that assumption. That's a bit of a stretch. Also, she's not pregnant with his child, it was part of a homework assignment, so you may want to re-read that section. That and the "name" for the kid is Turkish for the word "hope," so it's symbolic of their current plight. Given the type of classes they had in the prologue, they likely had the faux scenario of raising a child together.
No, it seems more like the series starts with a flash forward, so we know the outcome, we know humanity will be extinct, that they'll fall in love, and he'll be the last gundam, dying to protect her. We know the ending, now we watch the story get there. How you can confuse a flash forward with time travel is beyond me, occum's razor my dudeThe 4 years before thing. Her hand isn't flat against her stomach either. It's more of the nervous, un-sure stereotypical hand on top of hand anime stance. I could see if it were a flat hand, then maybe. Also, I feel that if she were, the artist would've shown her clutching it more in those tense situations following. To be fair about people thinking that she was pregnant, there was a panel the was zoomed in where the his hand and hers were on top of her stomach and the panel prior also gave that area a small glow effect. I'm sure I'm not the only one that initially assumed that 'homework' is this case wasn't some school assignment, but a little task they give each other. Like, "here's a homework for you, think of a name for our baby" kinda deal. Also, she's not pregnant with his child, it was part of a homework assignment, so you may want to re-read that section.
