I dunno what it is, but Travis's look really feels off in the manga. I can at least tell it's him, but mainly because he's the only person that piloted the Slave Wraith to begin with.

That said, I still would sacrifice several Crossbone adaptations to make both this and Missing Link animated, even if Keiji Fujiwara couldn't reprise his role for obvious reasons.

Also, this is just headcanon, but man, I feel like Yuu using the E.X.A.M. System so much gave him pseudo-Newtype reaction speed or something.

Fujiwara Keiji, that thing is clearly white lol, not the pale blue abomination that some proto-CyberNT has (Chloe Croce) and almost killed your team.
I miss him.

Granted the EXAM system is supposed to make an oldtype almost feel like how a Newtype does when pushing a suit beyond its limits (Grandpa can't keep up with Amuro's reaction speed and movements as they got back to space after Jaburo), think of it as "The gloves are off pal! I'm gonna super mode your ass within this short time frame before it wears off". But given how BD2 and BD3 are now suped up Pale-Rider frames instead of the Gundam, Yuu can push BD3 to the limit without straining the chassis.

The last guy (Hiroaki Hirata) that did Kei-chan's role as Father Fujimoto from Blue Exorcist following the manga events and some sequences (Blue Night Saga) would do a good job to reprise the role of Travis, and I'd say the same for the other guy who could bring an older-Seabook (Kincaduuu!) to life much as how Koji Tsujitani did when he was asked to voice him back on any video game, the SD series, and SRW.

As an Utawarerumono fan, a lot of fans of that franchise want Kentarou Tone (fellow seiyuu in the games) to be basically a full replacement for him, but I dunno. My attachment to Fujiwara is pretty much entirely due to his role as Haku in that game, and as such, it's really hard for me to imagine a proper replacement for him or any of his other characters. I guess if I had to pick off the top of my head for Travis Kirkland in particular, either Hiroaki Hirata like you said, or Kazuhiro Yamaji, who replaced him as Eugen in Granblue Fantasy. If Kenjiro Tsuda's voice wasn't so deep, I'd also go for him. He'd definitely do a good Ali Al-Saachez, at least.

Its only funny how in this retelling of the story that uses nods from the PS3 Sidestories remake (just like chapter 29), Travis and gang went out to harass Kajima's boys to know BD3 is the same as Chloe's Pale Rider (only the chassis, both systems are entirely different) - whereas Slave Wraith (minus Fred "The Reaper" Reber and his Gundam Pixy) helped the Guinea Pig corps hold off the Zeon grunts, then Alph tells Travis that the PR's HADES is just leftover data from BD1's EXAM system for the game version.

Whatever reason Travis has for doing this, maybe we'll find out in volume 8 before Kajima and the gang head to space for the final showdown. You don't often see people on the same side having to go against each other like most spin-off manga's set within 0079's timeframe outside of the White Base crew or Amuro's perspective.
